Functionality and application

MIC-2501 allows measuring insulation resistance using the two- and three-wire method, as well as measuring protective conductor continuity and DC and AC voltage. The function of automatic discharge of the measured object's capacitance after the measurement is completed increases safety. The meter is used in:

Technical parameters in practice

The MIC-2501 meter offers precise measurements in a wide range of insulation resistance – from 0.0 kΩ to 999 GΩ (depending on the test voltage). Thanks to the possibility of selecting the test voltage in 100 V increments (from 100 V to 2500 V), you can adapt the measurement parameters to the specifics of the tested installation. Measurement of leakage current during insulation resistance testing allows for additional analysis of the technical condition of the installation. The built-in voltmeter allows for quick control of the voltage in the tested circuit.

The measurement range of insulation resistance varies depending on the set voltage: at 100 V, you can measure up to 50 GΩ, at 200-400 V up to 100 GΩ, at 500-900 V up to 250 GΩ, at 1000-2400 V up to 500 GΩ, and at 2500 V even up to 1000 GΩ.
