This 2-position rotary switch, designated SP22-PL.C-10-LED.UNI\AC/DC, is a versatile device designed to control electrical circuits. Construction and application

This switch is designed for mounting in panel cutouts and features a high degree of protection IP65, guaranteeing its resistance to dust and moisture. It can be used in a wide range of applications – from simple lighting circuits to more complex machine and device control systems. Thanks to the universal supply voltage (AC 24 V-230 V, DC 24 V-110 V) it is compatible with various electrical installations. The construction with a single changeover contact (1NO) ensures safe and reliable circuit switching.

Parameters and design features

The device has been designed for long-term and trouble-free operation. The continuous rated current is 10 A, and the rated switching current in category AC-15 is 2.5 A at 230 V and 1.6 A at 400/500 V. In category DC-13, the switch withstands a current of 4 A at 24 V, 1 A at 110 V and 0.25 A at 220 V. Short-circuit protection of the switch contacts is provided by a 10 A fuse, and the expected short-circuit current for a rated voltage of 500 V is 1 kA. The mechanical durability of the device is as much as 3 million switching cycles, and the switching durability is up to 200,000 cycles at rated voltages and currents and 1 million cycles in total. The cross-section of the connecting wires is from 1 to 2.5 mm² for solid wires and from 0.75 to 1.5 mm² for stranded wires. The power of the LED lamp is 1.6 W and is adapted to work in both AC and DC networks (24-230V). The device meets the requirements of PN-EN 60947-5-1 and IEC 60947-5-1 and IEC 60947-1, which confirms its safety and compliance with applicable standards. Vibration resistance (±1 mm amplitude at frequencies from 2 to 13 Hz and ±0.7 g acceleration from 2 to 100 Hz) and shock resistance (peak acceleration of up to 15 g for an impulse duration of up to 11 ms) guarantee stable operation even in harsh industrial conditions.
