Fire emergency switch – safety and installation protection

This manual push button activates the fire emergency switch, which disconnects the building's power supply in the event of a fire, enabling safe rescue operations. The device is intended for use in fire zones with a volume exceeding 1000 m³ or in areas at risk of explosion. The switch should be located near the main entrance or connection point and clearly marked. It is important that disconnecting the power supply through this switch does not automatically activate another power source, except for those powering devices necessary during a fire, such as alarm systems or emergency lighting.

The PWP1-W01-A-20-2LED7\M switch is particularly useful where rapid power disconnection is crucial for the safety of firefighters and other emergency services during firefighting operations. This allows for safe operations in conditions of risk of short circuit or electric shock caused by water used to extinguish the fire.

Construction and signaling

Made of durable plastic, the switch features a high degree of protection IP65, ensuring its reliable operation even in harsh environmental conditions. The red housing makes it easy to identify in emergency situations.

It is equipped with dual LED signaling:

• Green LED – indicates the operating state (power off).
• Red LED – indicates the monitoring state (power on).

When the glass is broken, the red LED goes out and the green one lights up, indicating the power disconnection. The green LED should be powered separately, preferably before the switch. The LEDs are terminated with a connection box, which facilitates integration with the monitoring system.

Minimum number of wires required to connect the switch:

• Version with 2 LEDs: minimum 6 wires (depending on the contact configuration - 3 contacts).
• Version with 1 LED: minimum 3 wires (depending on the contact configuration - 1 contact).

Application and compliance with standards

The PWP1-W01-A-20-2LED7\M switch has a National Technical Assessment CNBOP-PIB No. CNBOP-PIB-KOT-2019/0110-1014 issue 2 and a National Certificate of Conformity No. 063-UWB-0185, confirming its compliance with applicable standards PN-EN 60947-5-1 and IEC 60947-5-1 and IEC 60947-1. It can be used as a "Fire emergency switch" after placing an appropriate information plate above it (a self-adhesive plate is included in the set). A version with a hammer to facilitate quick activation in emergency situations is also available.
