Protection of heating systems against over‑pressure

Safety valve 2115.40.153 operates automatically, opening at a pressure of 4.0 bar to prevent damage in closed liquid‑filled systems — mainly in heaters and domestic hot‑water tanks. After excess pressure is released, it closes automatically, without the need for intervention. It is not intended for adjustment or manual setting — its opening pressure is fixed and not subject to change.

Construction and installation

The housing is made of brass or bronze — a corrosion‑resistant material used in water‑contact installations. A plastic cover reinforced with glass fibre protects the mechanism from mechanical damage. The valve carries the PZH certification (no 0085), confirming its compliance with Polish requirements for devices used in drinking‑water systems.

Installation must be carried out vertically, with the inlet at the bottom — this is a condition for proper membrane operation. There is no possibility to change the opening‑pressure setting — the design prevents accidental or intentional alteration of the value.

Operation and applications

It operates at a maximum temperature of 110 °C — sufficiently high for standard heating installations and water heaters. Medium: steam, gases, liquids — including water, air and non‑adhesive neutral substances. There is no data confirming a prohibition for flammable gases — therefore it cannot be stated that it is unsuitable for them. Application depends on the properties of the medium and operating conditions, not on a general classification.
