Safety valve 2115 G 3/4 inch 10bar brass 2115.20.152

Protection of installations against overpressure

Diaphragm safety valves from the 2115 series are a key element protecting closed water and heating systems from the consequences of exceeding allowable pressure. This device, made entirely of brass, is primarily dedicated to protecting domestic water heaters, but it will also perform well in other pressure installations filled with non-sticky liquids. Its main task is to automatically discharge excess medium when the system pressure rises above the set value, preventing damage to tanks and installation components.

Thanks to the use of a diaphragm and a spring made of spring steel with an electroplated coating, the valve ensures a precise response to changes in operating parameters. The device construction prevents accidental or unauthorized adjustment of the opening pressure, guaranteeing constant reliability throughout the entire service life. It is worth noting the possibility of venting the system by turning the cap, as well as the ease of maintenance – the upper insert can be unscrewed to clean the seat and seal without the need to disassemble the entire valve from the installation.

Application and operating conditions

The safety valve with a connection diameter of 3/4 inch and a set opening pressure of 10 bar (model 2115.20.152) is intended for operation in environments with elevated pressure requirements. The maximum working temperature of the medium is 110°C, allowing its installation in domestic hot water systems and heating installations. The device can operate with water, air, and other neutral non-sticky substances.

It is worth remembering that these valves can also be used in installations containing a mixture of water and glycol, provided that the glycol concentration does not exceed 50%. This makes the solution universal and suitable for various types of heating systems where antifreeze fluids are used as heat carriers. Installation should be performed vertically, with the medium inlet located at the bottom – such orientation ensures proper operation of the diaphragm and spring mechanism.

Construction and operating characteristics

The device housing is made of brass or bronze, and internal parts are made of brass Ms 58, ensuring corrosion resistance and durability in difficult operating conditions. The diaphragm and seal are made of a material resistant to high temperatures and aging, maintaining rubber elasticity even when operating at temperatures up to 110°C. The spring made of spring steel has an electroplated coating for additional corrosion protection.

The 3/4 inch valve has been factory-tuned to open at 10 bar, making it suitable for protecting larger capacity tanks or installations operating at higher working pressures. In the case of this specific model (2115.20.152), the maximum water discharge reaches 5.1 m³/h according to UDT guidelines at full opening; for comparison, at lower settings (e.g., 4 bar) this flow is approximately 3.3 m³/h, and at 8 bar – 4.6 m³/h. The discharge coefficient for liquids (αc) is 0.20 at b1=10%, while for vapors and gases (α) it reaches 0.55.

The product holds a PZH certificate (no. B.BK.60110.0435.2024), confirming its safety for use in drinking water installations. The external threaded connection G 3/4" requires vertical installation only, with the inlet at the bottom – this position is necessary for the proper operation of the diaphragm and spring mechanism and to ensure system tightness in the closed state.

Selection of the appropriate safety valve should always be correlated with the tank volume or the heating power of the heat exchanger in the heater – detailed selection guidelines are available in the manufacturer's catalog sheets or can be calculated using dedicated simulation programs. This valve is a passive safety element that does not require electrical power or additional controllers – it operates mechanically based on the physical properties of the spring and diaphragm.
