Overpressure protection in closed systems

Diaphragm safety valve 2115.20.155 acts as an automatic protection for liquid installations that may be exposed to over‑pressure – especially in closed domestic hot‑water heaters. When pressure exceeds 5 bar, the valve opens and discharges the excess, preventing system damage. After the pressure drops it closes automatically – no manual reset required.

It can be used in water installations and with other non‑sticky liquids, at temperatures not exceeding 110 °C. It is not intended for gases or viscous substances.

Compatibility with operating conditions and compatibility

The valve also performs well in systems with a water‑glycol mixture – provided the glycol content does not exceed 50 %. This is an important advantage for heating installations in low‑temperature regions where antifreeze additives are necessary.

Thread size G 3/4 in (DN20) allows easy mounting to standard tanks and heat exchangers that require a larger flow than G 1/2". In practice this means it is suitable for larger installations – e.g., residential boilers or central heaters with higher capacity.
