The 3065 type thermal protection is a specialized device designed for the temperature protection of solid fuel boilers in closed and open heating installations. The product operates in accordance with the requirements of the PN EN 303-5 standard, which guarantees full compliance with current safety regulations.

The device is particularly recommended for boilers equipped with a cooling heat exchanger, where it serves as a key protective element. The set includes a DN15 immersion sleeve and a dual temperature sensor, ensuring precise control of the installation's operating conditions.

Construction and technical parameters

The device body is made of high-quality brass, while the cover is made of glass-fiber reinforced plastic, providing resistance to high temperatures and long-term operation. The protection features a G 3/4" threaded connection, allowing for easy installation in existing systems.

Operating parameters include a maximum working pressure of 10 bar and a maximum temperature of 125°C. The valve opening temperature is 95°C with a tolerance of +0/-3°C, allowing for a rapid response in case of a temperature increase above the safe level.

Application and principle of operation

The valve is installed at the cold water inlet to the cooler in the solid fuel boiler. This placement protects the device from scaling while ensuring the long service life of the entire system. Cold water flowing through the cooler indirectly cools the overheated boiler, ensuring that the maximum water temperature does not exceed 100°C.

A single thermal protection unit can protect a boiler with a maximum heating capacity of 100 kW, making it suitable for most domestic installations and small commercial facilities. The device has a medium discharge capacity of approximately 2,09 m³/h, ensuring effective removal of excess heat.

Regulatory compliance and operating conditions

The product meets the requirements of the Polish standard PN EN 303-5 regarding solid fuel central heating boilers with a nominal capacity of up to 300 kW. This compliance is particularly important following the entry into force of the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of March 12, 2009 (Journal of Laws 2009, no. 56, item 461), which permits the installation of solid fuel boilers up to 300 kW provided they are equipped with devices for removing excess heat.

The protection is intended for use with heating water as the medium, and its design allows for installation while maintaining the main axis vertically. The device holds the CE certificate, confirming its compliance with European safety and quality standards.
