Power Cable YKXS 0.6/1 kV – Reliability and Safety in Your Installation
The YKXS 0.6/1 kV cable is a robust solution for transmitting electrical energy in industrial plants, power stations, and supply networks. Designed for both indoor and outdoor installation—in cable ducts or directly buried—it ensures reliable performance under diverse conditions. Its construction and materials guarantee long-term operation and safe usage.
This cable, with a cross-section of 50 mm² and five cores, is ideal for applications requiring high current capacity. The use of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) as core insulation delivers superior electrical properties, reduced weight, and more compact dimensions compared to traditional PVC-insulated cables. This simplifies installation and saves time during project execution.
Construction and Application – The Key to Durability
The YKXS cable construction features flexible copper conductors available in various classes (RE, RM, SM) in accordance with PN-EN 60228. Cores are insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), and their colors comply with PN-HD 308. In the YKXSżo 0.6/1 kV cable, the green-yellow core serves as the protective earth conductor. The twisted core assembly is protected by a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheath in black—alternative colors are also available upon request.
YKXS cables are widely used in:
- Industrial power installations.
- Power stations and local supply networks.
- Permanent installation indoors and outdoors.
- Cable ducts and direct burial in soil.
- Applications requiring mechanical resistance (in armored versions).
Additional Features and Special Versions
In addition to the standard version, special YKXS cables with enhanced properties are available:
- YKXSżo-O: Oil- and hydrocarbon-resistant cables—ideal for fuel stations, storage facilities, and fuel transfer terminals.
- XnKXSżo: Halogen-free cables—enhanced fire safety due to reduced smoke and corrosive gas emission during combustion.
- Armored: Cables reinforced with steel wires or steel tape—provide additional protection against mechanical damage during installation in harsh conditions.
With these options, you can be confident in selecting a cable perfectly tailored to the specific requirements of your project.
