The cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation provides better electrical parameters, lower weight, and dimensions compared to traditional cables with polyvinyl insulation.

Construction and design features

The key to the durability and reliability of the YKXSżo cable is its carefully selected construction. The conductors are made of soft copper wires – available in various classes: RE (single-wire round), RM (multi-wire round), and SM (sector multi-wire). The conductor insulation is made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), and the YKXSżo 0.6/1 kV version includes a green-yellow protective conductor for increased safety. The twisted conductors are additionally protected by a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coating in black – other colors are also available on request.

• YKXSżo-O / YKXS-O: designed for environments exposed to contact with petroleum-based materials (e.g., gas stations), thanks to the oil-resistant coating.

• Armored: additionally protected with steel wires or steel tape, ideal for places exposed to mechanical damage.
