Armored power cable – reliability and protection

The YKYFtyżo 0.6/1 kV power cable is a robust solution for transmitting energy in demanding conditions. Designed for both indoor and outdoor installations, in cable ducts or directly in the ground, it provides safe and efficient power supply. The steel armor effectively protects against mechanical damage and rodents, and also serves as a shield.

Construction and application

YKYFtyżo cables are characterized by careful construction using high-quality materials. The conductors are made of soft copper wires (available in RE, RM and SM classes), insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation in various colors according to PN-HD 308 standard. In the YKYFtyżo cable, the green-yellow protective conductor provides additional safety. The twisted conductors are surrounded by a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheath, and the whole is protected by a spirally wound armor of galvanized steel strips. The protective cover is also made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in black color – other colors are also available on request.

This cable is used in industrial plants, power plants and local power networks. It will be useful wherever high mechanical resistance and protection against external factors are required.

• Steel armor: Provides exceptional protection against mechanical damage, rodents and also acts as a shield minimizing electromagnetic interference.

• PVC insulation: Provides effective electrical insulation and resistance to atmospheric conditions.
• Availability of oil-resistant version (YKYFtyżo-O): Designed for operation in environments exposed to contact with petroleum-based materials, e.g. petrol stations or fuel warehouses. The coating made of special PVC material provides resistance to the action of oils and greases.
• Availability of halogen-free version (XnKXSFtxnżo): Increased fire safety thanks to limited emission of smoke and corrosive gases in the event of a fire.
• Conductor cross-section 2.5 mm²: Optimal choice for many applications, providing adequate current carrying capacity.
• Three conductors: Allow for three-phase or single-phase connection with a PE protective conductor.
