This energy cable is designed for reliable transmission of electrical energy in various applications. It is ideal for both industrial installations, power plants, and local power supply networks. The cable construction allows for durable installation indoors, outdoors, in cable ducts, and directly in the ground.
The YnKXS 0.6/1 kV 2x1.5 RE cable is characterized by a conductor cross-section of 1.5 mm² and has two cores. Made of flexible copper wires, it provides good flexibility and ease of installation. Core insulation with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) guarantees better electrical parameters and lower weight compared to traditional cables with polyvinyl insulation.
Construction and properties
A key element of this cable is its solid construction. The cores are made of copper wires meeting the PN-EN 60228 standard (RE, RM or SM classes available). Insulation with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) provides high resistance to mechanical and thermal damage. The cores are twisted together, and the whole is surrounded by a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket, which provides protection against external factors and increased fire resistance – the cable meets the PN-EN 60332-3 standard regarding the limitation of flame propagation.
Additionally, special versions of the cable are available:
- YKXSżo-O: designed for environments exposed to contact with petroleum-based materials (e.g., gas stations), thanks to an oil-resistant coating.
- XnKXSżo: halogen-free cables, providing greater fire safety due to low emission of smoke and corrosive gases during combustion.
- XnKXS: armored cables with steel wires or steel tape – ideal for places exposed to mechanical damage.
Thanks to this, this cable is a versatile solution for a wide range of applications, guaranteeing safety and reliability of the electrical installation.
