Branch connector for distribution installations

The HLAK main conductor connector is a professional electrical installation component designed for creating secure connections in distribution boards and control cabinets. The HLAK-25-1/2CZ model in black allows for the branching of two circuits with cross-sections up to 25 mm² into two outputs with a cross-section of 16 mm², while simultaneously providing full protection against accidental contact.

Construction and materials

The connector body is made of tin-plated brass, which guarantees excellent electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. The fastening elements are made of galvanized steel, while the entire housing is made of durable polyamide. The Type C design provides full insulating protection against contact - all live parts are protected against accidental finger contact.

The device dimensions are 35 × 23 × 44 mm (height × width × depth), allowing for compact mounting in a standard distribution cabinet. The product weight is only 48 grams, which facilitates installation and does not add extra load to the DIN rail structure.

Application and compatibility

HLAK type connectors find wide application in distribution and control cabinets, where they enable the creation of organized series circuits mounted on a standard TS/TH35 rail. The design allows for both vertical and horizontal mounting, providing flexibility in installation design.

Compatibility includes a wide range of conductor types:

• Single-core conductors with cross-sections of 1.5-25 mm²
• Fine-stranded flexible conductors (with ferrules)
• Multi-core conductors with cross-sections of 1.5-16 mm²
• Aluminum and copper conductors

The connection is implemented via a proven screw system, which ensures durable and secure conductor fastening without the risk of loosening during operation.

Operating parameters and safety

The device operates at a nominal voltage of AC 400V in accordance with the DIN-VDE 0603-2 standard. The rated current is:

• For copper conductors - up to 130A
• For aluminum conductors - up to 100A

The IP20 protection rating provides basic protection against finger contact and access to hazardous parts. The color-coded cover (also available in other colors) allows for easy identification of phase, neutral, and protective conductors when correctly connected.

The housing is standardly available in light gray (RAL 7035), while the HLAK-25-1/2CZ model features a black cover for easy identification of the function or installation section.
