Heat shrink cap – reliable sealing and cable protection

Heat shrink cap KTK-12/4 is an indispensable element of equipment for every electrician and installer. It is used to effectively seal the ends of cables and wires, providing them with protection against moisture, corrosion and other external factors. Thanks to the inner layer of hot-melt adhesive, it guarantees a tight connection, and its thickened construction increases mechanical strength. Properties and application

Made of polyolefin (PO-X), this black cap is characterized by high flexibility and temperature resistance in the range of -45°C to 110°C. Its 3:1 shrinkage ratio allows it to be adapted to different wire diameters – after shrinking the inner diameter is 4 mm, while before shrinking it is 12 mm. The length after shrinking is 40 mm. Heat shrink caps with adhesive are widely used in securing electrical connections exposed to harsh environmental conditions, such as moisture, dust or aggressive chemicals. Additionally, they protect screws from corrosion and mechanical damage.

The KTK-12/4 cap is a halogen-free product, which means that it does not release toxic gases in the event of a fire. Although it does not have a UL certificate, it meets all basic safety requirements for use in electrical installations.
