Pre-insulated connection elbow – reliability and efficiency in heating systems

This is a pre-insulated elbow dedicated to connections in underground installations with Ecoflex Twin pre-insulated pipes. It enables quick and safe connection of double PE-Xa pipes, ensuring minimal heat loss and long-term reliability. The elbow design allows connecting pipes with a diameter of 40 mm with a wall thickness of 3.7 mm to a main pipe with a diameter of 160 mm.

Construction and application

The elbow is made of high-quality materials – PE-Xa SDR 11 pipe, PUR insulation and a smooth polyethylene (PE) jacket. This combination ensures corrosion resistance, mechanical damage resistance and minimizes the risk of moisture condensation. The elbow is designed to operate in systems with a maximum pressure of 6 bar and a temperature of 95°C. Therefore, it will be suitable for central heating installations, underfloor heating and domestic hot water distribution systems.

It is worth noting the dimensions of the elbow arms – 90+20 cm x 120+20 cm. These additional centimeters facilitate installation and allow adaptation to specific installation conditions. The pre-insulation of the elbow is a key element – it limits heat loss at the connection point, which translates into energy savings and efficient operation of the heating system.
