Reducing tee PPSU 20-16-16 Uponor Q&E 1008700
Uponor reducing tee for systems – halogen-free connection
The PPSU 20-16-16 reducing tee from the Uponor Q&E series is a component of a fittings system for clamp connections, designed to connect pipes of different diameters in water and heating installations. Made of high-quality PPSU plastic, it provides durability and corrosion resistance. It is a key component when changing pipe diameter, allowing flexible adaptation of the installation to specific needs.
Design and application
This reducing tee connects a pipe with an outer diameter of 20 mm to two pipes with a diameter of 16 mm, creating a 90-degree angle. The use of clamping rings ensures a tight and secure connection without the need for welding or gluing. It is ideal for branching installations where a change in pipe diameter is required. Thanks to the PPSU material, the tee is resistant to high working pressure – up to 10 bar at 20°C – which guarantees safe operation.
Advantages and benefits
- Quick installation: The clamping system allows for quick and easy connection of pipes without specialized tools (except for a key for clamping rings). This saves time for both the installer and the end user in the event of any modifications to the installation.
- Durability and reliability: PPSU material is characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage, temperature and the action of chemical substances contained in water and heating agents.
- Tightness: Precise workmanship and the clamping ring system guarantee a tight connection, eliminating the risk of leaks.
- Versatility: The reducing tee is compatible with Uponor MLC multilayer pipes and other pipes with appropriate outer diameters.
- Safety: PPSU material is halogen-free, which increases safety and minimizes the risk of toxic gases forming in the event of a fire.
- Installation flexibility: Allows easy adaptation of the pipeline layout to changing conditions and needs.
