Multi-layer insulated pipe system – comfort and durability of installation
Uponor Uni Pipe PLUS S10 WLS 035 16x2.0 blue insulated pipe is a comprehensive solution for hot and cold water installations and heating systems. Made of a combination of PE-RT II plastic and aluminum, it provides high resistance to corrosion, oxygen diffusion and pressure. An additional layer of thermal insulation minimizes heat loss, which translates into energy savings and user comfort. Available in a convenient coiled form with a length of 75 meters, it facilitates installation and reduces the number of connections.
Construction and properties
The pipe is constructed of five layers: two inner and outer layers made of PE-RT II, between which there is a longitudinally welded aluminum layer. This construction combines the advantages of plastics – flexibility and corrosion resistance – with the strength and dimensional stability of aluminum. Thermal insulation with 10 mm thick foam (thermal conductivity coefficient λ=0.035 W/(m.K)) effectively reduces energy losses. The anti-diffusion zone prevents oxygen from penetrating the installation, protecting metal elements from corrosion.
The pipe is characterized by high flexibility, which makes it easy to run in complex installation systems – the minimum bending radius is 64 mm. It can operate at a temperature of up to 95°C (short-term load) and at a working pressure of up to 10 bar. It complies with EN ISO 21003, which confirms its safety and quality. It also has a PZH hygienic certificate, guaranteeing no impact on the quality of drinking water.
