Universal multilayer pipe for water supply and heating installations

Uponor Uni Pipe Plus insulated pipe is a versatile solution for water supply, central heating and cooling installations. It is characterized by high flexibility, which facilitates installation and allows adaptation to complex systems. The construction with a seamless aluminum layer ensures strength and resistance to damage, and thermal insulation minimizes heat loss. The pipe is supplied in a coil of 75 meters, which significantly improves installation work.

Construction and properties

The pipe consists of five layers: inner and outer layers made of PE-RT II, a middle layer of aluminum and two layers of insulation. The aluminum layer acts as an anti-diffusion barrier, preventing oxygen from penetrating the installation and corrosion of metal elements. The insulation, 6 mm thick, made of closed-cell polyethylene foam, reduces heat loss to a value of λ=0.04 W/(m.K). Thanks to this, the pipe is ideal for use in underfloor heating systems and where energy efficiency is important. The blue color of the thermal insulation facilitates the identification of the pipe's intended use – usually for cold water or cooling installations.
