Copper bypass elbow with EPDM seal and SC-Contur technology

The Profipress 2427 bypass elbow is a one-piece copper component (99.9% Cu-DHP), designed for installation in piping systems using 18 mm diameter copper pipes. The "press-fit coupling" connection on one end and the "push-fit" connection on the other enable smooth flow direction changes without the need for additional components. All surfaces are in raw condition – without coatings, paints, or coverings – ensuring purity and compatibility with water supply and heating pipe systems.

The EPDM rubber seal is pre-installed and requires no additional assembly. This material is resistant to temperatures up to 110 °C and pressures up to 16 bar, making the elbow suitable for both drinking water (trinkwasser) and heating installations – even at high temperatures in underfloor or radiator circuits. The seal requires no lubrication or special handling during installation – it only needs to be properly pressed.

The SC-Contur technology enables immediate detection of improperly pressed joints during leak testing. If the joint has not been correctly installed, it will not maintain pressure above 1 bar (water) or 3 bar (air), meaning the error will be visible before the system is put into operation. There is no need to wait for water leakage or failure – the error is detectable during the first pressure test.

The working length of the connection is 97.5 mm, and the total length of the elbow is 120 mm – sufficient to allow free installation even in tight spaces. There are no reducers, valves, or air vents – just a simple, effective elbow for systems requiring smooth flow.
