Press-fit coupling Profipress – leak-proof connections in copper installations

The Profipress 15 mm coupling with SC-Contur is a component of the Viega press-fit system, designed to create permanent, leak-tight connections in water and heating systems. Manufactured from high-quality copper, it ensures reliability and long-term performance. It is compatible with copper pipes complying with PN-EN 1057 and DVGW GW 392 standards.

Robust construction and materials

The coupling is made of copper, with EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene rubber) seals providing resistance to temperatures up to 110°C. The use of EPDM seals guarantees joint integrity and minimizes leakage risk. The one-piece design simplifies installation and ensures secure connections. Additionally, the presence of a retaining collar enhances joint stability, particularly in areas exposed to vibrations or movement.

Applications and compliance with standards

The Profipress system is ideal for domestic water installations (compliant with DIN 1988), heating systems, rainwater systems, compressed air, inert gases, and chilled water systems. The coupling meets the requirements of DVGW W 534 standard and holds DVGW approval no. DW-8511BQ0586. Maximum operating pressure is 16 bar at 20°C. It can be used in heating systems in accordance with PN-EN 12828 at operating temperatures up to 105°C.
