Double connector with SC 15 x 3/4" bronze / shiny, model 2263 265663
Press and threaded end connection, without additional functions
One-piece bronze fitting designed to connect a 15 mm copper pipe with a G 3/4" threaded connection. Both ends are made from the same material – bronze – and undergo no surface coating treatment. The raw state means there is no lacquer, chrome, or other coatings; the surface remains natural, facilitating material identification during installation and inspection.
The EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) gasket is pre-installed and ensures hermetic sealing both during pipe pressing and nut tightening. This flat gasket operates on a pressure principle – it requires no additional compression or special mounting techniques. Although not part of the fitting itself, the nut is made of brass, which enhances its mechanical strength and corrosion resistance during repeated installations.
For the installer: simplicity and control
Installation is performed using standard Viega Profipress pressing tools. Once pressed, the connection becomes permanent – thanks to SC-Contur technology, any unpressed or improperly pressed connection will be visible during pressure testing. Within the range of 0.1 to 6.5 bar (water) or 0.3 bar (air), the system automatically indicates lack of hermeticity – without the need for additional tests.
This is simply a connecting element – the absence of a drain valve and air vent reduces the number of potential failure points and accelerates installation. A length of 34 mm represents the minimum size for this type of fitting – ideal where space is limited: behind walls, in corners, near radiators.
For the user: safe and durable
The fitting operates safely in potable water, heating, and cooling systems – even at temperatures up to 110°C and pressures up to 16 bar. There are no restrictions regarding the medium type: it can be used in compressed air systems, inert gases, or rainwater systems. EPDM is chemically resistant and does not react with potable water – ensuring long-term flow quality.
