Transition crimp-threaded fitting for copper installations

This fitting is designed to connect a 28 mm copper pipe with an external threaded connection of 3/4" NPT. Made of bronze without additional protective coating – the surface remains in its raw state, ensuring direct contact with the medium and minimizing the risk of chemical reactions with seals.

Sealing between the pipe and the crimped sleeve is provided by a flexible EPDM gasket – a material resistant to temperatures up to 110°C and stable in contact with potable and district heating water. The other side – the tapered thread – is sealed flat, also using an EPDM ring, eliminating the need for additional sealing materials (e.g., tapes or pastes).

The nut is made of brass, ensuring appropriate hardness and wear resistance during installation. The wrench width is 15.7 mm – compatible with standard rotating wrenches used in sanitary and heating installations. The overall length is 82 mm, allowing free access to connections even in confined spaces.

Installation is performed by crimping the sleeve onto the copper pipe (SC-Contur system) and tightening the thread – a process that requires no welding or soldering. It does not include a drain valve or air vent, functioning solely as a passive connecting element.

Maximum operating pressure: 16 bar at 20°C – sufficient for most domestic and commercial systems. Compliant with requirements for copper piping systems, but not intended for gases or aggressive media.

No anti-corrosion coating is applied – no special protection against corrosion is required in dry or moderately humid conditions. In installations exposed to moisture or aggressive environments (e.g., underfloor heating in high-humidity climatic zones), additional mechanical protection or insulation is recommended.
