Reducer SC 22 x 14 copper / shiny, model 24151 Profipress 443825
Application and Description
The one-piece VIEGA reducing fitting enables quick connection of a copper pipe with a diameter of ≈ 54 mm (1/2 inch) to a smaller pipe with a diameter of ≈ 42 mm (1/4 inch). The design is based on two press-fit couplings – one at the end of the larger pipe (kw), the other at the end of the smaller pipe (mz). Thanks to the built-in EPDM seal, the connection remains leak-tight even at a maximum working pressure of 16 bar and a medium temperature of up to 110 °C. This product is ideal for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water systems where reliable diameter reduction is required while maintaining high corrosion resistance.
Key Features and Benefits
- Press-fit couplings – fast installation without the need for soldering; simply insert the pipe and secure it.
- Material – copper – excellent thermal conductivity and resistance to water and chemical agents.
- EPDM seal – ensures durable leak-tightness under temperature and pressure fluctuations.
- One-piece construction – eliminates the risk of leaks at the joint between two components.
- Temperature range from ‑25 °C to +110 °C and working pressure up to 16 bar at 20 °C – ideal for central heating and cooling systems.
- Holds required certifications – complies with current European standards for the safety of sanitary and heating installations.
- Compatibility with system pipes – suitable for both new installations and modernization of existing networks.
Installation and Compliance
Installers will appreciate the simplicity of installation: simply prepare the pipe ends (cut at a right angle), insert them into the appropriate couplings, and tighten the clamping screws. There is no need for additional seals or soldering, which speeds up work and minimizes the risk of errors. The product meets European standards for copper connections and holds certifications confirming its suitability for sanitary and heating installations. Therefore, it can be safely used in both new construction projects and the modernization of older systems.
