Reducer SC 88.9 x 54, bronze / polished, model 22151XL 354671
Reduction between two diameters 88.9 mm and 54 mm – uniform construction for Sanpress XL systems
Reducing fitting made of bronze, featuring a single push-in connection (KW) on one side and a press connection (MZ) on the other, designed for use in Sanpress XL systems. Both ends have an identical outer diameter of 88.9 mm – meaning the push-in end accepts a pipe of the same diameter as the press end, but internally reduces the flow to 54 mm. There are no additional coating layers – surfaces are in raw condition, ensuring direct contact with the pipe and minimizing the risk of thermal incompatibility.
The gasket made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) provides durable insulation at temperatures ranging from -25°C to 110°C. It is resistant to water, steam, and most chemical agents used in heating and sanitary installations. The working pressure up to 16 bar at 20°C allows safe use in high-pressure water heating and heating systems.
All components – both the push-in and press connections – are made of bronze. This means there is no difference in the coefficient of thermal expansion between the metal part and the pipe – eliminating the risk of leaks during cyclic heating and cooling. Installation is performed using the standard Sanpress XL tool: first, insert the pipe into the KW end (88.9 mm), then press it along its entire length; next, insert the 54 mm pipe into the MZ sleeve and press it again. No additional rings or adhesives are required.
There is no drain valve or air vent – this is a purely mechanical component. It functions exclusively as a transition between two diameters. Compliant with the KIWA certificate, confirming its approval for use in water supply and heating installations across Europe.
During installation, note: do not use tools other than Sanpress XL – even if another set appears to “crush” the connection properly. Only this equipment ensures the correct degree of gasket compression and metal forming. Lack of the proper tool = risk of leakage.
