Sliding Coupling with Crimping – No Additional Components, No Valve, No Air Vent
This is a one-piece crimp-type coupling designed for installation on copper pipes with an outer diameter of 88.9 mm. Both sides feature the identical connection type – MZ (crimp coupling), enabling the straight-line connection of two pipes without the need for additional components. It contains no drain mechanisms or air vents – it is a pure mechanical joint.
All contact surfaces are in a raw state, without paint, coating, or surface treatment. This means there is no protective layer that could delaminate during crimping – all assembly energy is transferred directly to the metal, ensuring joint stability and reliability.
The seal is made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene monomer rubber), which withstands temperatures from -25°C to 110°C. This is not only resistance to extreme conditions but also a guarantee that the seal will not harden in winter or degrade under prolonged exposure to hot water. The working pressure of up to 16 bar at 20°C is a value confirmed by the KIWA certificate – it is not a theoretical limit but the result of laboratory tests.
Installation is performed using a specialized crimping tool – it requires no soldering, threading, or gluing. Simply prepare the pipes properly (deburr and clean), insert them into the coupling, and crimp. The process is fast, clean, and generates no sparks or fumes. For the installer, this means time savings and reduced risk of error. For the end user – no possibility of future leaks due to improper soldering.
The V-contour (SC-Contour) ensures precise pipe centering during crimping – there is no need to adjust force or angle. The joint functions as a single unit: metal + EPDM + contour shape = durability.
There are no "additional" features here. No colored coating, no valves, no openings. Only what is necessary: a solid connection between two copper pipes – without compromise.
