Press coupling with press sleeves, 22 mm – raw brown

The Sanpress type coupling, model 2260, is a simple, one-piece component for joining copper pipes with a diameter of 22 mm. Both ends are equipped with press sleeves – without threads, without valves, without air vents. It is designed for systems with copper pipes where a quick and reliable press connection is required.

Sealing is provided by flexible EPDM rings – ethylene-propylene-diene monomer rubber. Their flat design guarantees tightness at pressures up to 16 bar at a temperature of 20°C and withstands temperatures up to 110°C. This is crucial for heating systems and potable water installations.

There are no external nuts – everything is crimped. The nut (which serves to hold the component during installation) is made of brass but has no sealing function. The surface protection – raw condition – means there is no anti-corrosive coating or polishing. It does not need to be cleaned before installation, but mechanical damage should be avoided.

Installation requires only the appropriate pressing tool – no soldering or threading is needed. The component works only in combination with system pipes (e.g., Viega Sanpress). It is not suitable for other pipe types.

Example of use: joining two sections of 22 mm copper pipe in a heating or water supply system where a simple, uninterrupted flow line is required.
