Internal drainage PP-HT elbow – reliability and durability
This sanitary elbow, made of high-temperature polypropylene (PP-HT), is a key element of internal drainage systems. Designed to connect pipes at a 30-degree angle, it ensures effective removal of sanitary wastewater in residential and commercial buildings. The gray color makes the element blend well with most installations, especially where aesthetics are important.
Construction and application
The elbow is characterized by socket connections, which facilitate assembly and ensure tightness. Made of PP-HT, a material resistant to high temperatures (up to 90°C), it is ideal for draining both hot and cold wastewater. The nominal connection diameter of DN40 guarantees compatibility with a wide range of pipes and fittings with similar parameters. The working length of the connections is 50.5 mm and 47 mm respectively, allowing for precise adaptation to the existing installation. SBR gaskets provide additional connection tightness.
Advantages for the installer and user
- Durability and resistance: High-temperature polypropylene (PP-HT) is a material exceptionally resistant to chemical corrosion and mechanical damage, which translates into a long service life of the installation.
- Easy installation: Socket connections with SBR gaskets minimize the risk of errors during installation and ensure quick and reliable connection of elements.
- Thermal resistance: The ability to operate in a temperature range from 20°C to 90°C makes the elbow suitable for use in various operating conditions.
- High quality: The Wavin drainage system has the PRiK “Good Choice” mark, which confirms high production standards and care for the natural environment.
- Versatility: Compatibility with 40 mm diameter pipes and a universal connection profile code make the elbow easily integrated with existing drainage infrastructure.
It is also worth mentioning the low roughness coefficient of PVC material (used in larger diameters of the system), which minimizes the risk of incrustation – i.e. the deposition of scale and other impurities – which translates into a longer service life of the installation and maintaining optimal throughput. This system is also characterized by potential durability of up to 50 years.
