Two-plane PP-HT fitting – reliability and durability in internal drainage systems

This two-plane PP-HT fitting with dimensions 110x110x110/67 mm, in gray color, is a key element for building an efficient and durable internal drainage system. Designed for the removal of sanitary wastewater in residential and commercial buildings, it provides a reliable connection of pipes at a 90-degree angle. Its construction of high-temperature polypropylene (PP-HT) guarantees resistance to high temperatures – even up to 95°C – making it an ideal solution for installations exposed to hot wastewater.

This fitting is part of a comprehensive Wavin internal drainage system, which combines the advantages of PVC and PP-HT materials. Pipes with diameters of 32 and 40 mm are made of PP-HT, while those with diameters of 50, 75 and 110 mm are made of PVC-U. The combination of these materials provides optimal hydraulic properties and long-term operation. It is worth noting the low roughness coefficient of PVC, which minimizes the risk of incrustation (scaling) and ensures smooth flow of wastewater for many years – even up to 50 years!

Construction and installation

The fitting has three sockets with a nominal diameter of DN 100 and one socket with a diameter of DN 100, all finished with a spigot connection. This makes installation simple and quick, and the connections are tight and durable – especially when using dedicated SBR gaskets. The wall thickness of the connections is 2.7 mm for the first connection and 2.4 mm for the remaining two, ensuring adequate mechanical strength. The working lengths of the connections range from 58 to 70 mm, which facilitates precise adaptation to the existing installation. The raw surface of the connections requires the use of appropriate sealing agents or PP-HT/PVC-U adhesives.
