Multi-layer water pipe made of PE-100 RC

The pipe is manufactured from PE-100 RC polyethylene – a material with high resistance to cracking and long-term loads, making it suitable for both new installations and the modernization of existing water supply networks. Blue is the standard color for water pipes, and the capped end prevents contamination during transport and storage.

An outer diameter of 75 mm corresponds to a nominal diameter of DN 65, meaning the pipe is designed for water flow with a capacity of approximately 2.96 liters per meter of length. A wall thickness of 6.8 mm and an SDR factor of 11 provide a pressure rating of PN 16 – i.e., the ability to operate at a maximum working pressure of up to 16 bar. This allows for safe use in high-pressure systems, such as distribution networks or longer routes with significant elevation differences.

A thermal conductivity coefficient of 0.23 W/(m·K) indicates low thermal conductivity – the pipe does not transfer cold or heat to the outside, reducing the risk of condensation and energy loss. A wall roughness level of 0.007 mm minimizes flow resistance – water flows more smoothly than in traditional metal pipes, reducing pump energy consumption and extending the installation's service life.

A thermal expansion coefficient of 0.2 mm/(m·K) is typical for polyethylene – under temperature changes, the pipe expands and contracts in a predictable manner. This facilitates installation: it is sufficient to properly design expansion joints or allow for free laying in the trench to avoid stresses.

There is no thermal insulation or heating cable – this is a purely hydraulic pipe. There are also no couplings or gaskets: the ends are ready for mechanical connections (e.g., threaded fittings or welded joints). The absence of chamfering means simple end geometry – easier to control during installation.

This is not a flexible pipe in terms of bendability – but thanks to its multi-layer structure and PE-100 RC material, it maintains good stiffness while offering resistance to impacts and static loads. It does not require special installation tools – a standard set for cutting and welding polyethylene is sufficient.
