This heat shrink sleeve is a reliable solution for sealing socket joints in Wavin AS internal drainage systems. It provides not only tightness but also reduces noise, which is particularly important in residential and public buildings. The sleeve is made of high-quality plastic, stabilized against external factors, which guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation.

Application and characteristics

The AS Plus sleeve is designed for use with 90 mm diameter pipes, and its versatility allows it to be used in sanitary and rainwater drainage installations. Thanks to the use of butyl mass, the sleeve provides excellent tightness even at higher pressure in the installation – up to 4 bar (40 m water column). In addition, the sleeve material is resistant to UV radiation, aggressive chemicals, and the development of fungi and mold, which extends its lifespan and minimizes the risk of failure. The sleeve is radiation crosslinked which provides its flexibility and resistance to low temperatures.

Installation and safety

The installation of the sleeve is simple and intuitive. It should be slipped onto the socket to be sealed before connecting the next element of the installation. Then, using a heat gun or other heat source, the sleeve should be shrunk until it fits perfectly to the shape of the pipe. It is important to remember to take appropriate precautions during shrinking – wear protective gloves and safety glasses. Installation below 0°C is not recommended. The sleeve has protective tapes for the butyl mass which should be removed before installation.
