Wavin Tigris PE-RT/AL/PE-RT pipe with c/z PN10 is a comprehensive solution for hot and cold water installations, central heating, and underfloor heating. The construction consisting of five layers – two layers of polyethylene (PE-RT), an intermediate aluminum layer, and adhesive layers – combines the flexibility of plastic with the strength and temperature resistance of aluminum. This makes the pipe ideal for both new installations and the modernization of existing ones.

Construction and Properties

The multilayer construction of the pipe provides a number of benefits. The aluminum layer acts as an anti-diffusion barrier, preventing oxygen from penetrating the installation and protecting it from corrosion. Polyethylene (PE-RT) is characterized by high resistance to temperature and pressure, as well as flexibility, which facilitates installation even in difficult conditions. The pipe is physiologically harmless and has PZH approval, guaranteeing safety when in contact with drinking water. Additionally, minimal thermal expansion, close to that of metal pipes, ensures the stability of the installation.

Application and Compatibility

The Wavin Tigris PE-RT/AL/PE-RT pipe with a diameter of 16 mm and a wall thickness of 2 mm is intended for use in installations with a maximum working pressure of 10 bar at a temperature of up to 70°C (continuous operation) and a short-term temperature of up to 95°C. It is fully compatible with the Wavin Tigris K1, K5, M1, M5 and MX fitting system, allowing for flexible design and installation. The ability to manually bend using a spring or bending tool makes work easier for installers. The available coil with a length of 200 meters minimizes the number of connections, increasing the tightness and reliability of the system.
