Pipe WT 20x1.9x4000 PN10 Wavin PPR 3050477
Polypropylene pipe for water and heating installations
Wavin PPR pipe with a diameter of 20 mm and a wall thickness of 1.9 mm, made of polypropylene, is a reliable solution for building water supply and heating installations. A length of 4000 mm facilitates installation and minimizes the number of connections. The pressure class PN10 means that the pipe is designed to work with water at a temperature of up to 70°C and in underfloor heating systems.
Features and application
Wavin PPR pipe is characterized by high resistance to corrosion and deposits, which guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation. The material it is made of is safe for health and the environment. The wide range of applications includes installations in residential, administrative, office buildings, as well as in industry and agriculture. The ability to transport both cold and hot water and – with appropriate parameter selection – also media in central heating systems makes it a universal installation element.
Wavin PPR pipes are made of polypropylene type 3 (PPR), which ensures their appropriate mechanical and thermal strength. The coefficient of thermal expansion at the level of 0.15 mm/(m.K) should be taken into account when designing the installation to avoid stresses in the connections. Low thermal conductivity (0.24 W/(m.K)) minimizes heat loss in heating systems.
Advantages for the installer and user
- Durability: Polypropylene is a material resistant to corrosion, chemicals and mechanical damage, which translates into a long service life of the installation – even up to 50 years with proper operation.
- Easy installation: The pipes are lightweight and easy to process, which speeds up installation work and reduces labor costs.
- Hygiene: The material does not affect the quality of the transported media, is safe for health and does not promote the development of bacteria.
- Low noise: Polypropylene dampens the sounds of flowing water, which increases comfort.
- Ecology: The material is recyclable, which reduces the negative impact on the natural environment.
- Versatility: Possibility of use in various types of installations – water supply, heating and for the transport of air (after individual assessment).
- SDR 11 dimension ratio provides adequate pipe strength while maintaining flexibility.
