The multi-layer PEX-AL-PE pipe with an insulating layer is a comprehensive solution for plumbing and heating installations. The combination of durable aluminum with flexible PE-X (cross-linked polyethylene) ensures high resistance to pressure, temperature and corrosion, and thermal insulation minimizes heat loss. Construction and properties

The pipe consists of five layers: an inner and outer layer made of PE-Xc, a middle layer of aluminum and an insulating layer with a thickness of 6 mm. Aluminum acts as an anti-diffusion barrier, preventing oxygen from penetrating the installation, which protects it against corrosion. The insulating layer, made of a material with a thermal conductivity coefficient of 0.4 W/(m.K), reduces energy losses in heating systems. Thanks to this, the pipe maintains its shape stability and minimizes the risk of condensation of water vapor on the pipe surface. The flexibility of the PE-X material makes installation easier, allowing the pipe to be bent even without the use of specialized tools – the minimum bending radius without tools is 80 mm, and with tools 64 mm.

Application and compliance with standards

The PEX-AL-PE pipe with insulation is ideal for:

• Central heating (CH) installations, including underfloor heating.
• Plumbing installations for hot and cold domestic water.
• Drinking water distribution systems – it has a DVGW quality mark confirming safety of use.
• Gas installations – it also has an appropriate DVGW certificate for gas.

The product meets the requirements of DIN-CERTCO standards, which guarantees its high quality and safety of use. The maximum working pressure of the pipe is 10 bar at a maximum medium temperature of 70°C and 10 bar at a temperature of 20°C. The short-term maximum permissible medium temperature is 95°C. The pipe is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire. The water content in the pipe is 0.113 l/m, and the coefficient of thermal expansion is 0.025 mm/(m·K). The roughness of the pipe wall is 0.002 mm, which affects the reduction of fluid flow resistance.
