Drainage Systems and Noise Reduction

The Sitech Plus PP-HT pipe is an element of an internal drainage system designed for wastewater drainage in buildings. It features a three-layer construction, resulting in high stiffness and durability. Made of polypropylene (PP) with mineral additives, it provides resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage. Its ability to reduce noise is particularly important, making it ideal for use in residential buildings, hotels, hospitals and other facilities where acoustic comfort is a priority.

Construction and Properties

The Sitech Plus pipe stands out from traditional solutions due to its construction. The outer and inner layers are made of PP copolymer, while the core is made of PP copolymer or recycled PP copolymer with mineral filler. This construction provides not only strength but also flexibility and ease of installation. The outer diameter of the pipe is 75 mm with a wall thickness of 2.6 mm, and the socket diameter is 79.8 mm. The circumferential stiffness class SN4 guarantees resistance to mechanical loads. Additionally, the pipe is chamfered, which facilitates connections.

Application and Benefits

The WAVIN SiTech+ system – to which this pipe belongs – is widely used in sanitary, underfloor and rainwater installations. It is a solution dedicated to both new buildings and renovations. Its black color (RAL 9005) provides an aesthetic look of the installation. The Sitech Plus pipe is characterized by high temperature resistance – up to 90°C with continuous flow and 95°C with momentary flow. The coefficient of thermal expansion is 0.12 mm/(m·K), which should be taken into account during the installation of longer pipe sections. Thanks to the low wall roughness (0.02 mm) it ensures smooth flow of wastewater and minimizes the risk of blockages. It is also worth mentioning the low noise level generated by the flowing water – the weighted sound power level Lsc,A is below 25 dB(A) according to PN-EN 14366:2006 (data for a flow rate of 4l/s).
