Low-noise drainage fitting – quiet operation and easy installation

This polypropylene (PP) tee is a component of the Wavin AS Plus internal drainage system, designed for facilities where noise reduction is crucial. It is ideal for residential buildings, office buildings, hospitals and other places requiring acoustic comfort. The single-plane design and 87-degree angle allow for flexible adaptation to the installation.

The tee connects 90 mm diameter pipes with a 50 mm diameter pipe, ensuring effective wastewater drainage. Made of high-quality materials, it guarantees durability and corrosion resistance. EPDM rubber gaskets ensure the tightness of the connections, eliminating the risk of leaks.

AS Plus system design and advantages

The Wavin AS Plus system is distinguished by its unique three-layer construction: the inner layer made of PP provides a smooth surface, minimizing flow resistance. The middle layer of PP with mineral filler dampens sounds, and the outer layer of PP protects against mechanical damage. Thanks to this, the AS Plus system achieves an exceptionally high acoustic protection index – Lsc, A of only 10 dB for a flow rate of 4 l/s (according to EN-14366 standard).

The installation of the tee is extremely simple and quick thanks to innovative solutions:

• Self-lubricating gasket: Does not require the use of additional lubricants, saving time and costs.
• Sculpted spigot end: Reduces the force required to push the pipes by as much as 50%, making the work easier for the installer.
• Angular markings: Allow for precise positioning of the fitting at the correct angle to the main axis of the installation.

Specification and application

The tee is designed to operate at temperatures from -10°C to +90°C (continuous flow) and up to +95°C (brief flow). The maximum working pressure is 0.5 bar at 20°C and 0.5 bar at the maximum working temperature. The ring stiffness class is SN4. The material is polypropylene (PP). The DVGW quality mark confirms its suitability for use in water installations. The product has an ITB certificate KOT_2019_1184 issue 2 for AS+ pipes and fittings for low-noise internal drainage.
