Cross-connection terminal, plug-in, blue, 17.5 A, Number of poles: 10, Pitch in mm: 3.50, Insulated: Yes, Width: 33.5 mm, ZQV 1.5N/10 BL 1985680000

Plug-in potential distribution system in terminal blocks

The ZQV 1.5N/10 BL jumper connector is used to implement cross-connections between terminal blocks - enabling potential distribution or signal transmission across multiple poles simultaneously without the need for individual wiring of each terminal. The ten-pole design allows for the simultaneous connection of ten contacts within a single element, significantly simplifying the design and execution of electrical installations.

Construction and material

The connector housing is made of Wemid plastic - a self-extinguishing thermosetting material classified as UL 94 V-0, which means effective flame propagation inhibition. The blue color facilitates the identification of signal paths or auxiliary circuits on the mounting rail.

Geometric dimensions are matched to standard terminal blocks with a 3.5 mm pitch:

  • Total width is 33.5 mm
  • Height 21.9 mm, depth 2.8 mm
  • Net weight of only 3.391 g - minimal weight on the rail

The insulated design provides protection against accidental contact with conductive working parts.

Electrical parameters and operating conditions

The rated continuous current is 17.5 A regardless of the configuration (2-pole or multi-pole). The maximum rated voltage is 400 V AC, however, when cutting the jumper connector to leave bare edges, the operating voltage drops to 25 V - this must be kept in mind when adapting the length of the element on the construction site.

A significant limitation is that for reasons of mechanical and thermal stability, a maximum of 60% of contact elements can be snapped off in one segment - attempting to remove more poles risks weakening the structure.

The connector has an explosion-tested version Ex e, allowing for use in gas or dust explosion hazard zones - where certification of devices for use in Ex conditions is required.

The storage temperature within the range of from -25°C to +55°C allows for storage without special climatic conditions.

Installation and practical application

The plug-in system eliminates time-consuming tapping and tightening operations - simply slide the connector into the side grooves of the terminal block. The manufacturer provides full CAD engineering documentation (STEP format) as well as EPLAN and WSCAD/Zuken E3.S data for direct import into design environments.

Typical applications include:

  • distributing supply potentials between terminal groups,
  • transmitting control signals through insulating barriers,
  • creating common signal buses without additional wiring,
  • industrial installations requiring rapid startup and frequent modifications.

The product is covered by the ETIM classification as EC000489 (accessories for terminal blocks) and complies with the RoHS directive - the absence of SVHC substances in the material composition is confirmed by the manufacturer's environmental declaration.
