Stratified tank for heat pumps, designed for systems with high hot‑water demand

The SEW-1-300 tank is a steel vessel with a 300 L capacity, intended for use with heat pumps up to approximately 14 kW. Its construction is specially adapted for installations that require a large amount of hot water — e.g., multi‑room houses or facilities with many draw‑off points.

The interior surface of the tank is coated with a special enamel that acts as an anti‑corrosion barrier. In addition, a magnesium anode provides long‑term corrosion protection without the need for frequent service. This solution meets the requirements of drinking‑water quality regulations and can be supplied with water from any mains water network.

The tank operates as a layered system: hot water stays at the top, while cooler water settles at the bottom. This allows efficient drawing of water at a constant temperature — even during short and frequent uses. The heat exchanger is made of a smooth pipe, which speeds up heating and minimizes energy losses.

Thermal insulation of rigid polyurethane foam beneath a foil jacket limits heat loss to 1.7 kWh per day — reducing the load on the heat pump and lowering operating costs.

Connections are standard: cold water and hot water — 1¼ in, heating and solar supply — 1¼ in, circulation — ¾ in. A DN 110 flange provides easy access to the interior for service or anode replacement.

There is no built‑in electric heater — but space is provided for its installation if an additional emergency heat source is needed. This gives flexibility: the installer can add a heater only when the situation requires it.

For the installer: clearly marked connections and ample service space simplify installation. For the user: constant water temperature, low energy consumption, and silent operation.
