Layered storage tank for heat pumps with internal heat exchanger

The SEW-1-400 tank is a vertical vessel with a capacity of 400 L, designed specifically to work with heat pumps up to approx. 20 kW – ideal for homes with high domestic hot‑water demand. Its layered construction allows efficient temperature separation at different levels, increasing system performance and reducing heat loss.

The internal surface of the tank is made of steel and coated with a special anti‑corrosion enamel, guaranteeing long‑term resistance to corrosion even when supplied with water from any water network. An additional protective layer is a magnesium sacrificial anode, which corrodes in place of the metal, extending the device’s service life.

Energy efficiency class C means standby losses are low – not exceeding 2.1 kWh/24 h – which reduces the load on the heat pump and lowers operating costs. The integrated heat exchanger enables rapid and efficient transfer of energy from the heating circuit to domestic water without the need for additional exchangers.

The device complies with all regulations concerning drinking‑water quality – it can be used in residential installations without restrictions. Its height (approx. 1660 mm) and diameter (705 mm with insulation) allow easy installation even in confined technical spaces, and its weight of about 185 kg requires proper floor preparation.

No additional heating is required – simply connect it to the heat pump and the system operates automatically. Water is ready for use, and temperature is kept stable thanks to precise stratification.
