Vertical buffer tank for heating systems with high insulation and flexible connections

Tank made of black steel, intended exclusively for closed, oxygen‑free boiler installations. It does not have internal anti‑corrosion protection – its use is possible only in systems where water quality and lack of oxygen are maintained at levels required by standards. It works as a buffer for heat generated by a heating boiler, solar unit or heat pump – it is not a directly heating element, but stores energy for later use.

Polyurethane foam insulation 100 mm thick provides low heat loss – about 3.67 kWh per day when fully filled. The insulating jacket can be removed before installation – facilitating transport and delivery to rooms with limited door or corridor dimensions. After installation the insulation is reinstalled – no need for additional thermal insulation materials.

It has 8 × 1½″ connections in the tank wall – allowing flexible connection of a heat source, heating circuit, ventilation, or solar system. Additionally there are 4 × ½″ connections for thermometers and one 1½″ for an air vent. All connections are arranged to enable optimal flow separation – upper for hot water supply, lower for return.

The tank meets DIN 4753 and DIN 12828 requirements – meaning its design and parameters are suited to standard heating installations in residential and commercial construction. Maximum allowable working pressure is 3 bar, and maximum temperature in the secondary circuit is 95 °C – sufficient for most condensing boilers and heat pumps.

Version without coil (SPU-2-1500) has no internal heat exchanger – not suitable for direct domestic hot water heating, but works perfectly as a buffer for heating circuits.

Version with coil (SPU-W-1500) is a separate product – this model does not include it.
