Construction and Thermal Insulation
The unit is made of black steel and is intended exclusively for use in closed heating systems free of oxygen. This condition is critical, as the lack of internal anti-corrosion protection means the tank cannot be used in open systems or where there is a risk of fresh air ingress. The 100 mm thick thermal insulation made of polyurethane foam effectively reduces heat losses, maintaining water temperature for extended periods. Note the design of the outer jacket—it has been designed to be removable without the need to disassemble the entire insulation. This is a significant convenience for installers during transport through narrow passages and during installation in hard-to-reach locations.
Application and Compatibility
The tank is compatible with various types of heat sources, including heating boilers and solar systems (in the case of the version with a coil SPU-W). In the standard configuration, SPU-2-5000 does not include a coil, meaning it is dedicated to heating circuits without direct domestic hot water heating inside the tank. The device complies with the requirements of DIN 4753 for tanks and DIN 12828 for heating installations.
Thanks to its large volume and robust insulation, this model minimizes the cycling of boilers, resulting in reduced fuel consumption and extended service life of the entire heating system. It is a solution for installations where energy efficiency and stable heat delivery are priorities.
