Buffer tank Wolf SPU-2-800 – product codes SPU-2, SPU‑W

It is a vertical, standing tank made of black steel, intended exclusively for use in closed boiler installations as a buffer for heating water. It has no internal corrosion protection — its use is permitted only in oxygen‑free systems.

Insulation made of polyester fleece with a plastic coating provides low heat loss. The insulating jacket is separately packaged — it can be removed before installation, which eases transport and delivery to space‑constrained locations. After installation the insulation is reinstalled, ensuring durable thermal protection.

The tank has 8 connections of 1½" diameter, allowing flexible connection of various heat sources: gas, pellet, coal boiler or heat pump. The SPU‑2 version does not include a coil — if you plan integration with a solar collector, you need the SPU‑W model.

Allowable working pressure on the secondary side is 3 bar, maximum temperature — 95 °C. Compliance with DIN 4753 and DIN 12828 guarantees compatibility with most modern heating systems.

The tank stores excess heat and releases it gradually into the heating circuit. It reduces boiler cycling, improves system efficiency and stabilizes room temperature.
