Wireless temperature sensor – precise measurement and remote control
This 4-channel wireless temperature sensor, type RCT-21, is a component of the Exta Life system, designed to monitor temperature at various points in the installation. It enables measurement using four independent channels, making it a versatile tool for both professionals and home users. Measured values are transmitted wirelessly to the EFC-01 controller and are available in the mobile application, providing remote access to data and the ability to automate temperature control processes.
Functionality and application
The RCT-21 sensor allows for precise temperature measurement in various places – from inside the building, through outdoor temperature, to monitoring the temperature of the boiler or air. Thanks to the ability to connect four independent NTC probes (available separately), the system becomes a flexible solution tailored to individual needs. Remote reading and temperature control increases comfort and allows for optimization of energy consumption.
Construction and technical parameters
The device is characterized by compact dimensions (47.5 x 47.5 x 20 mm) which facilitates mounting in standard installation boxes with a diameter of 60 mm. The range of radio transmission in open areas reaches up to 300 meters, and can be increased with the REP-21 repeater if necessary. The sensor works with NTC 10k probes and offers a measurement resolution of 0.1°C. The temperature measurement range depends on the NTC probes used and can range from -40°C to +110°C or more. Power is supplied by 12V DC voltage with a tolerance of ±10%. Radio transmission takes place in the ISM band (868.50 MHz) using two-way communication and a 128-bit key encoding algorithm to ensure data security.
Additionally, the sensor has an LED indicating data transmission and the ability to configure the transmission frequency and measurement hysteresis via the EFC-01 controller.
