Flood detection for home and office

The wireless flood sensor RCZ-21 is a reliable alarm device designed for quick detection of water leaks in areas particularly prone to flooding – bathrooms, kitchens, toilets, boiler rooms or laundry rooms. Its task is to provide early warning of a problem, minimizing potential damage. The sensor sends information about the detected flooding to the EFC-01 controller, where it becomes available in the mobile application, enabling a quick response.

The RCZ-21 sensor offers flexibility in operation – it can work directly with compatible Exta Life receivers or indirectly via the logic function module in the EFC-01 controller. This allows for automated control of various devices, such as pumps or solenoid valves, in the event of a leak. Additionally, the sensor signals flooding both visually and acoustically.

Versatile application and installation

The RCZ-21 is extremely versatile in terms of installation. It can be placed on the floor, where detection is carried out via built-in probes, or mounted on the wall using an external probe (available separately). Thanks to the IP67 protection class, the housing is resistant to water and dust ingress. The device can be powered by batteries or an external voltage of 6-24V AC/DC (using the PCZ-21 power base), which ensures continuous operation even in the event of a power failure. External power supply enables additional device configuration.

Functionality and communication

The RCZ-21 sensor not only informs about flooding but also monitors its technical condition. It regularly sends a test signal confirming its functionality and radio range. In case of low battery level, it emits short sound signals. The radio range of the sensor in a multi-story building is up to 10 meters. The volume of the alarm signal is 86dB at a distance of 3 meters – loud enough to attract the attention of household members or office employees. The device has two operating modes: as a flood sensor and as a pulse counter – expanding its application possibilities.
