Pipe Compensators – Flexible Connection for Installations
The zJOI compensator, Fig. 701 is a structural element designed to absorb movements and stresses in pipelines. Its function is to compensate for thermal expansion, foundation settlement and vibrations, ensuring reliable and safe operation of the installation. This product finds application in water supply systems (drinking water), sewage systems, industrial systems and in installations transporting chemically inert liquids.
Construction and Materials
The Fig. 701 compensator is characterized by a solid construction based on a body made of spheroidal graphite cast iron GJS 500-7, which guarantees high strength and corrosion resistance. The EPDM seal ensures tightness and chemical resistance, especially in the case of drinking water. Connecting elements, such as screws, are standardly galvanized, however, the use of stainless steel is possible to increase resistance to aggressive environments. The sleeve and ring are also made of spheroidal graphite cast iron (EN - GJS-500).
Parameters and Application
This model of compensator is available in a nominal diameter of DN 80 and adapted to work at a nominal pressure of PN 16. The use of an EPDM gasket allows operation in a temperature range from -20°C to +100°C. The zJOI Fig. 701 compensator has a flanged connection in accordance with PN-EN 1092-2, which facilitates installation and integration with existing pipeline infrastructure. The length of the compensator, depending on the range of movement, is from 230 to 350 mm for DN80.
