What are retention reservoirs?
Retention reservoirs are artificial water reservoirs whose main role is to store rainwater (its excess) for use at a later time and to protect the building or area against flooding during periods of excessive water accumulation.
Use of the retention reservoir
Retention tanks allow for the collection of not only rainwater, but also sewage, slurry or UAN fertilizers. They are used in industry, public utility places, housing estates and agriculture. They can act as an additional source of water, e.g. for irrigation of green areas, use in car washes and dry cleaners, cleaning large surfaces, flushing waste in public toilets, etc. In this way, they allow for limited water consumption, and consequently - more effective protection of the natural environment. Construction of retention reservoirs
The retention tank has the shape of a cylinder with a horizontal foundation axis. Plastics or concrete are used for its production. Our range includes: • retention tanks made of a two-layer spirally wound structural SPS pipe, equipped with a manhole and a gravity ventilation system, differing in volume, length, diameter, circumferential stiffness and finish colour; • concrete retention tanks characterized by simple construction and ease of assembly, capable of withstanding very heavy loads (including vehicular traffic loads), suitable for installation in pedestrian areas, parking lots or areas at risk of mining damage, especially in places where the sewage system is overloaded. Retention tanks can be combined into larger units to meet individual requirements in terms of total capacity.
