The quality of the product should also be a priority. A hose is rarely a product for just one season. In order to serve its purpose for many years, it must be resistant to cracks and other types of damage. So what should you consider when choosing one?

How to choose the right garden hose?

When choosing, factors such as:

• Flexibility – the number of layers is important. The more layers garden hoses have, the more resistant they are to high and low temperatures and UV radiation. In order for a garden hose to be flexible and stretchable, the material of manufacture is also important. It is worth paying attention to models made of textile, polyester and rubber fibers.
• Hose length – the product should reach the point from which you draw water even from the furthest ends of the garden. Always add a few extra meters to the length of the garden and only then look for the product. A longer hose eliminates the risk of bends, which will result in interruptions in the water supply.
• Pressure resistance – the operating pressure specified by the manufacturer is information on the conditions under which the hose is optimally used. Be sure to check them!
• Hose diameter – can be from 12.5 mm to even 32 mm! Since the difference is even 20 mm, it is easy to make a mistake that will not remain without an impact on the functionality of everyday gardening work. To avoid it, it is best to follow a simple rule: the smaller the garden, the smaller the needs, so it is better to invest in a hose with a smaller diameter! For a smaller garden, a hose with a diameter of 1/2 or 3/4 inch is enough (this will also work in medium gardens). For large gardens, we recommend hoses with a diameter of 1 inch.
