In construction, expansion joints mean deliberately created gaps between two buildings or structural elements. Separated parts work more efficiently and have freedom of deformation. However, expansion joints require filling. A special building material is used for this task (and not only for this purpose) - expansion tape. Made of polyethylene foam, it is strong and resistant to chemicals used in construction, and at the same time flexible, soft, light and easy to use.
