Good preparations of this type should have good adhesion to porous substrates, such as concrete, cast iron or various types of stone. This guarantees their effectiveness in repairing various types of furnaces, solid fuel boilers or fireplaces. Since they are used to seal fixed connections, they should create a rigid, durable joint.

Roofing sealants are designed to seal roof coverings. Due to the place of application, they must be characterized primarily by resistance to difficult weather conditions. Their compositions are developed in such a way that they withstand strong sunlight, high humidity, wind, low temperatures and contact with microorganisms and algae. An important feature of these sealants is also plasticity, flexibility and adhesion, thanks to which they can be used to create durable and effective connections.
At Onninen we offer Soudal roofing sealant in a 280-millilitre package for squeezing with a gun applicator. The preparation is manufactured on the basis of bituminous elastomers, and the refined composition guarantees very good adhesion, resistance to UV radiation and temperatures ranging from -35 to 130 degrees. Importantly, the sealant does not react with polystyrene. It can be used to repair typical roof coverings, gutters and sheet metal work.
Acrylic sealant
Acrylic, after hardening, creates a plastic and flexible mass, which works perfectly in various applications. Sealants based on it can be used, among others, to fill gaps or cracks, but remember about the relatively low resistance to moisture. Apart from its versatility, the greatest advantage of acrylic is its versatility. Due to its good adhesion to porous surfaces, it works great in combination with materials such as furniture boards and wood, concrete, brick and plasterboard.

A specific type of high-temperature sealant is the Caloryżeb fireproof sealant. It is characterized by resistance to high temperatures (over 1300 degrees) and great hardness (after hardening it becomes hard as granite). It can be used to repair fireplaces, garden fireplaces and other structures.
