Universal fiber optic cable for demanding installations
The "FireHardy" single-mode fiber optic cable is a reliable solution for data transmission, designed for a wide range of applications – both indoors and outdoors. Manufactured by the renowned company ALANTEC, it combines high quality workmanship, safety and ease of installation. Designed for telecommunication networks, data transmission systems and local structured networks (LAN), FTTH and FTTx.
The cable features a ZW-NOTKtsdD (U-DQ(ZN)BH) single-tube construction, in which the optical fibers are placed in a tube, making processing and splicing easier. The fibers are protected against moisture thanks to the use of a moisture-absorbing material and protected against mechanical damage thanks to glass fibers. In addition, the LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) coating ensures safety in the event of a fire, minimizing the emission of toxic gases and smoke.
Safety and compliance with standards
The cable meets strict safety standards, confirmed by a certificate of conformity with regulation CPR 305/2011 and classification B2ca. This means that it is approved for use in buildings with high safety requirements, such as hospitals, public buildings and offices. It also complies with PN-EN 50173 and ISO/IEC 11801 standards.
Parameters and construction for professionals
The cable has been designed with the convenience of installers in mind. Universal application allows for simplifying the installation by eliminating the need to use different types of cables indoors and outdoors. The use of single-mode (SM) fibers of the G.652.D standard ensures efficient data transmission over long distances at wavelengths of 1310 nm, 1550 nm and 1625 nm. Color coding of the fibers facilitates identification during work. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.1 mm and its tensile strength is 1000 N. The outer LSOH coating with a thickness of 1.3mm is resistant to UV radiation.
Thanks to the use of a swelling moisture-absorbing material, the cable is resistant to water ingress and the glass fiber sheath provides protection against rodents.
