This ALANTEC fiber optic cable, designed for outdoor installations, is a robust solution for extensive telecommunications networks, CATV, WAN, or FTTx. The construction with 9/125 μm single-mode fibers of type OS2 ensures minimal signal loss and high-quality transmission over long distances. The cable is suitable for installation in cable ducts, directly in the ground (in areas not exposed to mechanical damage), as well as for suspension on functional poles – with the possibility of mounting every 60 meters.

Construction and Protection

The cable stands out with its durable construction. The central core made of plastic is surrounded by loose tubes containing optical fibers. The interior of the tubes is filled with a hydrophobic gel that protects against moisture. The whole is additionally protected by a sheath of aramid fibers – this ensures resistance to rodents and increases mechanical strength. The outer polyethylene (PE) coating is resistant to UV radiation, guaranteeing long-term operation in outdoor conditions. Length markings every 1 meter facilitate identification and precise cutting of the cable during installation.
