This patch cord from ALANTEC is a reliable solution for connections in computer networks, both in professional and home installations. Made to Cat.6 standard, it provides stable data transmission at speeds up to 1000 Mbps (Gigabit Ethernet). It will work in any distribution point, as well as for direct subscriber connections.

Construction and shielding for stable transmission

The F/UTP cable (Foiled/Unshielded Twisted Pair) has a foil shield surrounding all pairs of wires. Additionally, an earthing wire under the shield increases resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMI). This construction minimizes the risk of interference, especially in environments with high levels of interference – near electrical wires or devices generating noise. This ensures more stable and secure data transmission. It is worth remembering that the maximum cable length (transmission path) should be 90 meters, including short lengths of patch cables at the ends (up to 5m each).

Practical features and durability

The patch cord has a black PVC coating that is durable and flexible. Although PVC is not a flame-retardant LSOH material, it provides solid protection for the internal wires. The identification print every 1 meter makes it easier to identify the cable during installation and maintenance. The cable meets the requirements of category 6 (class E), which guarantees its compatibility with existing network infrastructure – it will work with components of lower categories (patch panels, RJ45 keystone modules).
